Looking for a UK wedding photographer who’ll capture the real moments and create something a little different? I’m Scott Johnson, an award-winning wedding photographer based in Essex. I’ve photographed weddings since 2006, bringing a relaxed approach, plenty of energy and a creative eye to celebrations across the UK.
Think genuine laughter, happy tears, everything happening in between, and portraits with a bit of an edge. I’ll give you direction when it’s useful, but I’m not here to turn your wedding into an all-day photoshoot. You should be enjoying your guests, not constantly wondering where the photographer wants you next.
I photograph one wedding per day, so when you’ve booked your date, my attention is on your celebration. If you’d love something tangible to remember it by, we can also create a handmade Italian wedding album. Prefer digital images? We can talk about those options too.

What to expect from YOUR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Your wedding is full of people and moments that can’t be repeated. I’ll photograph the day as it unfolds: the anticipation before the ceremony, the hugs you didn’t see coming, the speeches, and the dance floor once everyone stops worrying about looking sensible.
We’ll make time for some creative portraits too. Typically, around 20–30 minutes is enough for us to capture natural portraits alongside some of my signature images, depending on your plans and the location. I know how to work quickly and find the light without keeping you away from the party.

We’ll start with a conversation about your day, what matters to you and how you want it to feel. A call or video chat is a great way to get to know each other, talk through the timeline and make sure we’re a good fit.
I’ll help you plan photography around the celebrations rather than the other way round. We can go through coverage, the finished images and your album options, without any pressure. I’m here to bring experience and ideas, not a list of rules.
